Chia Almond Coffee Smoothie

Chia seeds have emerged as a super food in the recent years.Their existence can be traced back to thousands of years but they have become popular in the last 4-5 years.These little seed expands many times in liquid thus making your stomach feel full faster and that makes you eat less.They are loaded with fiber which is the key to weight loss.Chia seeds should never be eaten without soaking them in water for some time so that they would expand in size.Always soak 1 teaspoon chia seeds in a glass of water before drinking it or making shakes or puddings.


 Chia Almond Coffee Smoothie


 


INGREDIENTS

1 Teaspoon Chia Seeds
1 Cup Almond Milk
Stevia
1 Teaspoon Coffee
Ice Cubes


Mix One Teaspoon Chia seeds in a glass of water and after 10-15 minutes strain the excess water.
 
Chia seeds starts expanding as soon as they come in contact with water so first soak them in water and then strain the excess water with a strainer.You will get a gel like texture.


 





Take 1 cup Almond/ Skim Milk





Add Coffee Powder




Add Stevia And icecubes and make Coffee in a blender




 Fill Half of the glass with the Soaked Chia Seeds




Add Cold Coffee And top it with 2-3 Almond Slices.
