Paneer butter masala /Cottage cheese Gravy easy recipe





Paneer Butter masala is one of the most liked dish in Indian Cuisine
Generally Paneer butter Masala is loaded with loads of cream and malai.I have keep it simple and cream free.Just 1 teaspoon of malai or cream will do the need full.I have given it a different look by cutting the paneer in heart shape...My kids just loved the dish.And the best part is everyone wants to eat healthy these days so why to indulge in gravies with heavy cream.You can even skip the butter that i have used in this gravy.It wont make much of a difference in the taste



 INGREDIENTS


Onions     -    4
Tomatoes     -  4
Ginger
Cottage Cheese /paneer 300 gms 
Salt
Red Chili Powder
Coriander Powder
Garam Masala
Pao Bhaji Masla
Malai/ Cream  - 1 Teaspoon
Corriander leaves Chopped





METHOD OF MAKING PANEER BUTTER MASALA


Take 4 Onions and peel them
Take a piece of Ginger And peel it
Take 4 Red Tomatoes

 



Take Water in a Pan and put the onions , tomatoes and ginger in it and let them boil for 4-5 minutes


After 5 minutes take the vegetables out from the pan in a strainer and let them cool
 


Heat 1 Tablespoon Oil In a large Pan or a karahi
   


 Then add 1 teaspoon Butter to it



Put the onions in the grinder and grind them into a smooth paste



 Now transfer this paste in the Karahi
 
   


Cook the onions till they turn translucent


 



Now peel the tomatoes and make a smooth puree in the grinder
 


Add the puree to the karahi and add salt to it
 


Add 2 Teaspoons coriander powder
 


Add 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala

 

 Add Red Chili Powder according to taste
 
  


Add 1 Teaspoon Pao Bhaji Masala




Now add only 1 Teaspoon Cream Or Malai

 



Cook the gravy for 5- 10 minutes
Leave it uncovered


 
After 10 minutes, take the gravy from the gas and allow it to cool.
Take a large size strainer and put the gravy in it.
Strain the gravy in the karahi leaving the coarse part in the strainer .

  


Now take the gravy left in the strainer and churn t in the grinder into a smooth paste and add it to the gravy in the karahi



Now cook the gravy for another 5-10 minutes
Your gravy is ready
 
 


Take the cottage cheese and cut it in small pieces
I have cut the cheese in heart shape
You can cut it in normal rectangular shapes or any shapes with the hep of cookie cutter or fruits cutter


Add the Cottage Cheese to the gravy and cook it for 5 more minutes.
Garnish it with chopped corriander Leaves and transfer it to a serving bowl.
