Easy Bread Poha recipe

 Bread Pudding and that too spicy is a perfect breakfast.Whole wheat or brown bread tossed up with spices, onions and tomatoes.I just love this spicy bread pudding.It is my all time favorite and it is very healthy as well.Instead of eating plain bread why not indulge in this yummy delicacy.Traditional veggies like onions and tomatoes transfer plain bread into delicious bread pudding or bread poha.This lip smacking snack is loved by both kids and adults and it is a very regular dish at my home.




INGREDIENTS

1 teaspn mustard seeds
1 tspn cumin seeds
Curry leaves
12 Slices of whole wheat or brown bread
2 onions
3 tomatoes
2 green chili
green coriander leaves
1 lemon
Salt
Red chili powder
Garam masala
haldi powder
1 tspn Oil


Chop the onions and tomatoes and green chilies and keep them separate







Heat half tspn oil in a large sized pan. When the oil is warm, Add 1 teaspoon black mustard seeds.


 



When the black mustard seeds makes a crackling sound then add 15-20 curry leaves






Now add 1 teaspoon chopped green chilies.


  



Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

 




Take 2 large size chopped onions





Add the chopped onions to the pan ans saute on the medium flame for 2-3 minutes.



  







When the onions become translucent, add chopped tomatoes and keep sauting


 



  Now add 1 teaspoon salt to the sauteed vegetables





 3/4 teaspoon red chili powder

 


Add  half teaspoon garam masala

 


And now add 1/4 teaspoon haldi powder
 


 Cook the onion tomato paste for 2 more minutes on medium flame.

 



Take 12 whole wheat breads and cut them in small pieces...You can divide the bread 3* 3  




Now add the bread pieces to the pan and mix them properly with the help of two large spoons.

 


Sprinkle juice of a lemon and mix it properly again.

 



Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot.

 



  Yummy bread pudding or bread poha is ready to be served.
