Water Melon Lemonade Recipe

 


This amazingly good looking neighbor of  Lemonade is too good and yummy to resist.Ready in less than 5 minutes , It is a perfect treat for these summers.It is very refreshing.Just skip the sugar and it offers a very healthy treat to your taste buds.Water melon seems to be the king of summers and it has got a large number of benefits.It keeps you hydrated and refreshed.. Water melon Ice cubes can be stored for 15 to 20 days so that when guests are at home or when you want a refreshing drink, you can just make it in less than 5 minutes and satisfy your thirst.




INGREDIENTS

Water Melon
Sugar or Honey
Lemon Juice
Mint Leaves
Black Salt/ Chat masala/ Pani puri masala 
Cold Water
 

 


Method
 

Take a ripe watermelon And cut it in pieces, Taking all the seeds out..

 



In a blender or a food processor, Blend the watermelon to a puree.








Put a mash strainer over the bowl, And strain the watermelon puree through it so that no chunks or pieces remain.Discard the pulp.




Water melon Juice Is ready
 




Now transfer the watermelon juice to a tray and keep it in the freezer to set for 2-3 hours.You can skip this step and simply use watermelon juice for the lemonade but I like using water melon ice cubes so I freeze it to get cubes.And it is quite handy as well.Whenever I have to make lemonade these watermelon cubes are so handy and lemonade is ready in minutes.








Take juice of 3-4 lemons in a bowl
 


Add 1-2 Teaspoon Sugar.You can use sugarfree or honey if you are health conscious like me and would like to drink this juice for losing weight and staying slim as it is a very good weight loss juice as well.




Add 15-20 Mint Leaves and mix all the ingredients well till the sugar gets dissolved.





Take Black salt or any kind of Chat masala and spread it in a plate.I have used Panipuri masala that is used for making pani puri water as it tastes awesome.If you do not have that you can use any kind of fruit masala or chaar masala.Even black Salt would tastes great.





Now first dip the glass in the sugar lemon solution and then move it in the circular motion over the masala so that the masala would stick to the glass.




Take out the Ice Cubes from the freezer when ready.





Put 4-5 pieces of water melon Ice cubes in the glass and 1 piece of normal ice cube . Add the sugar and lemon mix.And fill the glass with chilled water.





Your Watermelon Lemonade is ready to be served.You can also garnish it with mint leaves and lemon slices.










This is a very good drink for health conscious people who do not want to pile on calories in the summers by drinking sodas and colas and it is very refreshing as well.Not only it will save you from the scorching rays of Sun and sodas but will keep you hydrated as well.It is the favorite of everyone in my house and my kids are just crazy for it.I could live on this drink , the entire summer and my freezer is already loaded with watermelon ice cubes as the first thing which my kids ask for after returning back from school is waterlemon lemonade.
